London’s newest and most innovative online social club is bringing the ‘joie de vivre’ back to the lives of London’s busy professionals.
Events and Friends is targeted at thinking people and organises high quality cultural and social events for its discerning members who want to make the most of their leisure time but are too busy to make the arrangements for themselves.
Members are also kept up to date with London’s diverse and lively social scene and benefit from big discounts on event tickets.
Events and Friends founder Bally Binning, said:
“Joining up is a great way for our members to extend their cultural and social horizons. They know how they want to spend their days off, but often they find they simply don’t have the time and energy to organise things themselves. That’s where we come in. We do all of the organising and they then have only to turn up and enjoy themselves.”
A university lecturer who quit the cloistered world of academia to set up Events and Friends, Bally said she decided to start her business because friends and colleagues were forever telling her they lacked the time to organise nights out.
“They always told me they were often too busy to organise their leisure activities and felt they could do with some help, “Bally said. “So I decided to do something about it.
“Our members already enjoy unique events and exciting nights out, but we are here to help them organise their time more effectively when they find their work prevents them from making the arrangements themselves. We aim to make it easy for people to do more, see more and get more out of London’s vibrant and diverse cultural and social life.”
Among the many diverse events on offer are wine tasting, cocktail parties and dinners, language evenings, art exhibitions and museum visits with speakers, concerts, comedy clubs, fashion shows, tours and visits.
Bally added:
“We all work really hard and our professional lives often seem to take over and consume every spare hour of the day and night. Through Events and Friends people come together to see and do new and interesting things in their time off, and have the opportunity to extend their social networks by meeting other like-minded people. As we say, you come for the culture and stay for the conversation!”
