"... when a man is tired of London, he is tired of life;
for there is in London all that life can afford ..."
Dr. Samuel Johnson (1709 - 1784) (For more on LONDON & its Boroughs - click on this link!)
One of the aims of this site is to make people aware that the geographical County of Middlesex, for over 1300 years, the land of the middlesaxons still exists; and that only the Administrative County Council was abolished in 1965 along with the abolishment of The London County Council, which was in itself created in 1889, to form the Greater London Council (GLC). "Administrative counties" can be altered and "county councils" can be abolished by
Parliament but such changes do not affect the ancient geographical counties. The natural borders of Middlesex is the river Thames, the Lea valley & the Coln valley. Click here for a map of the county of Middlesex.

'Although dissolved as an administrative authority... in the minds and hearts of its sons and daughters it was, is, and always will be the place of their home rather than another anonymous chunk of London.' Never again will we forget any of the above!
